We are excited to share our Mindful Eating Foundations Program to get a taste of our Mindful Eating and MB-EAT program that is easily digestible and gives you some of the highlights of the 12 session MB-EAT public program - for your personal and/or professional growth to learn new key healthy living skills and practices.

This pre-recorded program includes videos with Andrea along with support materials will give you an overview and introduction to our Mindful Eating and Living skills and tools, based on MB-EAT. You can integrate these practices into your personal life and better support your clients if you are a health care professional.

This program is backed by years of research and experience in the field by Dr. Jean Kristeller, Andrea Lieberstein and other dedicated health professionals.

It is informed and nourished by our METI’s weight inclusive approach and the freedom and liberating possibilities in your life, mind, body and heart when you learn this sustainable, balanced and joyful way to mindful eating and living, free from diet culture.

Come learn and immerse yourself in a new well-researched sustainable way of eating and living based on tried and true skills, techniques, mindfulness and self-compassion practices.

You will learn how to have a sustainable, joyful and peaceful relationship with food, free of shame or guilt. METI’s weight inclusive program is paced in a way that offers successful behavior change, a new way of being, and a more discerning mindset free of the pitfalls and suffering of diet culture.

Rooted in behavioral, mindfulness and cognitive science, you’ll learn how to make food choices attuned with both your inner wisdom and outer wisdom balancing evidence-based nutrition and mindfulness approaches to make food and lifestyle choices.

Originally created by Dr. Jean Kristeller at Indiana State University and backed by years of NIH research, the Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT) is curated and taught by Andrea Lieberstein (founder of Mindful Eating Training Institute) to address all forms of “mindless” eating through the application of mindfulness, cognitive and behavioral science including: stress-related eating, emotional eating, binge eating, disordered eating patterns and obesity.

Research has found that “how” you eat using mindfulness can have a more positive and lasting effect on your health than simply focusing on “what” you eat. Mindful Eating is a practice that allows you to revolutionize your relationship with food. Cultivating awareness of your present moment experience, along with the focused awareness building practices in our program, can increase your enjoyment of food, enhance taste satisfaction and help you learn to tune into your body cues related to eating such as hunger, stomach fullness and body satiety. .

If you are a health care professional, you will have the option to join an upcoming Mindful Eating (MB-EAT) and Living Professional Training three month program (which we offer four times annually) and receive full credit towards our in-depth professional training program (within one year of registering for the Foundations program).
